The FLC Seniors Acting Club is excited to announce their second Cabaret showcase with music, standup comedy and a playfest of three short plays.
With Cabaret II, we continue to celebrate the creativity of our seniors who have been inspired to write, act and share their work with the Calgary community. The Cabaret will feature music by David Nolke and the comedy duo Peter Stunden and Kelly Morstad with other standup comedians from the Calgary region. The three plays include: If the Parts Could Fit written by Corrie Mosier and directed by Erin Noble, the story of three people at a volunteer centre who make some unexpected decisions; A Different Kind of Party written and directed by Carolyn Wright-Stronski, about members of a social group who attend a party and find the situation more than they anticipated, but perhaps what they were hoping for; Happy Hour written by Rose Bene and directed by Andrea Cortes, highlights the shenanigans of four, longtime friends who now live in a senior’s r…
