Join composer/songwriter and educator Ed Goldfarb, known for his work on the international version of Pokémon the Series, live at the Grammy Museum for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Ed will explore how music has shaped the series over its 30-year history, perform songs and selections from the score, and answer questions from the audience. He’ll be joined by Haven Paschall, English-language voice actor for beloved Pokémon characters and vocalist on Pokémon theme songs. Anime and game composer Mason Lieberman will host and moderate the evening. ABOUT ED GOLDFARB Ed Goldfarb has been the composer and theme songwriter for the International version of Pokémon the Series since 2013. He has scored over 600 TV episodes and four movies, with his music heard by millions in 160+ countries. He has also collaborated with Francis Ford Coppola on projects like Apocalypse Now Redux and served as music director for San Francisco’s Beach Blanket Babylon, co-writing the show and conducting over 4,000 performances. In addition, he was an adjunct professor at Foothill College and a speaker at Stanford University. ABOUT HAVEN PASCHALL Haven Burton Paschall is a NYC-based voice-over actor best known for her work as Serena in Pokémon the Series: XYZ. Other popular roles in Pokémon include Slurpuff, Salandit, Swirlix, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Cosmog, Risa, and Rockruff. Other animation credits include Bloom on World of Winx and Winx Club, Gigi on Royal Academy, and Evie (singing) on Ridley Jones. Haven is also the featured vocalist on many memorable Pokémon songs from the TV series and movies, such as “Join the Band” (2017), “I Choose You” (2017), “Under the Alolan Moon” (2018), “The Power of Us” (2018), “Keep Evolving “(2019), “Pokémon Go Night Theme” (2021), “Journey to your Heart” (2021), “Becoming Me” (2024), “My Favorite Pokémon” (2025), and “Evolving Again” (2026). She can be heard on many national commercials, audiobooks, and soundtracks. Haven is an advocate and ally of the Autism and Down syndrome communities, and works to make the world a more understanding, compassionate, and inclusive place for all people.
