Faraj Suleiman is bringing his first solo show “Faraj, Piano and Mic” live to EDMONTON.

The acclaimed Palestinian composer, pianist and singer premieres his first fully solo show.

For the first time in his career, Faraj Suleiman performs entirely alone: one piano, one microphone, no band. Piano and Mic strips his catalogue back to where it began: songs from Better than Berlin, Second Verse and his latest album Maryam in bare new arrangements, alongside the piano-led instrumental work of As Much As It Takes, which reworks Arabic melodies through jazz and contemporary composition.

Born in Rameh in the Galilee, Suleiman has become one of the defining voices of modern Arabic music, filling halls from Beirut to Berlin and appearing at Montreux Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival and the Roman Theatre of Amman.
