Please join Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden and the Nikkei Cultural Society of Lethbridge and Area for a special Golden Maple Keirokai celebration.

Keirokai is a Japanese holiday that honours seniors (80+).

This year’s Golden Maple speaker, author and artist Christopher Takashi Robertson, captures this respect for his ancestors in his book, Senda Kinoshita Nikkei Histories: Issei, Nisei and Sansei Canadian Experiences. Celebrate storytelling, history and community at this special evening, Friday, Sept. 25, 2026.

Location: Sandman Signature Lodge, Lethbridge (320 Scenic Dr. South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4B4) Doors open at 5:00 p.m.

Cash Bar: An on-site cash, debit, and credit card bar will be available.

Dinner service at 6:00 p.m.

Reception ends at 8:00 p.m.
