Tickets also available at the gate during the eventThe Strathcona Highland Society is comprised of a diverse group of volunteers who love Celtic traditions and committed to producing an annual Highland Gathering in Strathcona County, Alberta and to promote closer ties in the community using Celtic music, dance, and traditions and create a family friendly event for all to enjoy.

The Highland Gathering is an outdoor event held at Broadmoor Lake in the heart of Sherwood Park ensuring easy access for all. The event consists of piping and drumming competitions, massed band performances, highland dance competitions, and Scottish heavy games. There are also children’s activities, food trucks, a beer garden, community market, and a Ceilidh as well as Sunday entertainment provided by local music groups and dance studios. Sheep and Duck herding demos take place in Sunday and the Highland Cows will be on site.
